Those darn scoreboards. But Jay Barker says 4 missed fgs > 3 made fgs, so hang in there, Arty.

Yep. 4 missed field goals and we lost by 3. That says a lot. Corndogs only got close twice.

LSU actually had two first and goals. Alabama had neither. LSU dropped a td pass before halftime and had to kick a field goal on 3rd down.

Hang in there, Arty.

So 50 yard field goals are now close?

One thing that you need to realize is that, Bama was playing WAY over their heads in that game. LSU is the far superior team and it will show.

Alabama had exactly one legitimate scoring drive the entire game. Two others aided by key PF calls, the other two by SUCCESSIVE interceptions from the worst QB play LSU has seen all year. ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING went Alabama's way for 3 entire quarters - every fumble, every interception, every foul call, yet you couldn't get the ball into the red zone - ever. Alabama's last three offensive drives produced exactly TWO plays for positive yards. There is ABSOLUTELY ZERO chance of Alabama beating LSU again. Bring it on.

By using how close LSU got to make those FGs how many times did Bama get "close"?
