REGARDLESS of the SEC Championship game results - we have a 90% chance at a rematch.
I'll go 66.7%

Who is saying Alabama isn't #2 in the BCS right now ?

No one. I simply asked for an answer to this question and LSU fans want to dance around it for some reason. It's not a trick question. Do LSU fans think they would NOT be #2 in the BCS right now if they had lost in overtime on November 5th?

I'll be happy to take another loss to LSU if that's the way it plays out. It will prove to me they're the better team.

When you win just about everywhere except the scoreboard it naturally leaves you wondering what if.

We don't have a playoff.
I've read this entire thread, and this is the most lucid, germane comment it contains.

Since we don't have a playoff, the regular season should count.

Who's dancing around it? Of course LSU would be #2 right now. What's the point?

I understand this sentiment, but the BCS is not some amorphous system with objectively-defined goals.

And yet that is the system we all signed up to follow. Whether we like it or not, all the D1 schools decided that this system along with their rules would be the way the national championship was decided.

Lucky for Bama, you don't have a vote. The guys who have been involved with CFB most of their lives will be the ones deciding who is most deserving to be 1 and 2.

So to prevent a rematch, OSU has to win in Bedlam, other vote stealing one loss teams must fall, and 25+% of voters must rebel, and that equals a 66.7% chance of rematch? Seems like we should be getting a higher percentage here. I think his 90% is much closer.

Yep - only the computers are predictable - human votes on the last week are not.

fairness is even more subjective then figuring out who the two best teams are at this point.

BCS's mission is to find the two best teams.

You won't win this argument because most of the Bama fans in this thread are being emotional (and honestly jerks about their point of view, THEY MAD).

Yes, we're mad about being back in the national title picture.

Before you post, ask yourself "is this an idiotic comment?"

Sorry, my 66.7 is assuming an OSU win. If OSU loses (50/50), then Bama is absolutely in.

Was it fair that GA beat LSU in the regular season and then had to beat them in the SECCG? Of course GA didn't win, did LSU refuse the title?

When did this happen?

Those darn scoreboards. But Jay Barker says 4 missed fgs > 3 made fgs, so hang in there, Arty.

Ask UGA how that worked out for them while they sat at home not winning their division. Christ you people are retarded.
