PSU has no legal defense to any action involving an incident involving Sandusky after this one in 2002, due to their failure to report the matter to authorities. This is the real reason the Board of Trustees is up in arms, and calling for swift and decisive action.
It is the potential financial responsibility, due to potential legal liability, that has them outraged and demanding accountability. Not the Moral failure of not protecting the children.
