If you want to play a gimmick offense that uses the hurry-up b/c you can't line up and win one-on-one matchups, then you should equally expect the opposing team to use a gimmick defense to slow you down and make you play one-on-one matchups.
One of the dumbest fricking things I have read on here in quite some time.

IMO if offenses are going to take advantage of rules that allow for them to speed up the game and not allow defensive substitutions, then it is fair game for a defense to take advantage of the rules and fake injuries to get their substitutions in
soccer fan.
What i just read can be summarized like this. If you play within the rules the opposing team is justified by bending the rules and faking an injury.
Que the older generations saying, god damn kids today are pussies.

The shitty thing about the new "spread hurry-up/ faking injuries bit" is that players that really are hurt are getting booed. Noone is getting the benefit of the doubt.

I mean, let's boo the offensive players for slowing down their own blur.
I don't like their offenses in the same manner that I don't like leaving your starters in a blow-out game just to get "style" points. Kinda cheap. So, i don't mind the defenses using a cheap tactic to level the playing field.

There is no rule that says "if a defense needs a stoppage in play because they are tired and/or confused, an artificial injury may be used to induce said stoppage".
No rule says you can't. Therefore it is within the rules. Does it stretch the rules and hurt the game? Sure. But it is a natural reaction to offensive coordinators stretching the rules and running no huddle all game where a D can't substitute.

Pretty sure that's unsportsman like play...if only they'd make an ecompassing rule for unsportsman like play so you didn't have to deliniate every offense...

So why does the D need to substitute if the O doesn't? If the O can line up without taking a quick breather Why does the D? seems like a conditioning issue or a D that is not prepared

They're not stretching any rules. The offense isn't substituting either. When the O substitutes, so can the D.

Exactly. If your defense is not as well conditioned as the offense running the HUNH, that's your own fault and shouldn't give you a right to disgrace the game by faking injuries like pussy European soccer players.

Maybe the NCAA should mandate a 30 second water break in between each play to make sure the defense doesn't get overtaxed. Player's parents can take turns on bringing the juice boxes and cookies.

Do you hate LSU that much to where your putting every team we play next logo in front of your name this year?
Seems kind of obsessive if you ask me. Not that it really matters just curious if I missed an inside deal or if you lost a bet or something.
Also, what happens when we are playing Bama next? That will be very interesting because I guess you have to pick between 2 lesser of evils and we all know who that is supposed to be but with you I'm not gonna be surprised if you make an exception.

I hope the injury faking stops as much as anyone. Its lame and pitiful. I simply don't feel sorry for an offense that has to run a no huddle all game though.
Here's a challenge Auburn fans: Draft the rule that makes it a 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty to "fake" an injury. Explain the difference between a fake injury or fake cramps and a real injury so that refs can delineate between the two.

It alternates between whoever LSU or Bama is playing.

There's more pussy in this thread than at a Phi Mu Rush.

I've said numerous times that I want to beat LSU as much as Bama, if not more. I started pulling for Auburn in '99, and I'm not from the state of Alabama, so LSU has been the West team to beat for Atlanta for the majority of my time. As far as that game goes, not sure what I'll do yet.

It's pretty obvious that South Carolina was willing to do whatever it took, minus actually playing well, to win that game.

I agree with this. I dont know that you could even make a rule that would penalize during the game, unless it was just blantant.
I just dont want people bitching about a boo when it was a blatant flop :coughcoughsomeonefrom2010:

Please explain how running no huddle is "stretching" the rules. This should be good.

I'm just waiting for the day when a DC makes the signal for someone to fake hurt, but the players get it mixed up as to who is supposed to go down and about 5 of them suddenly hit the deck with cramps.
