or maybe it was that a young team was playing on the road for the 1st time and a new QB making his 1st road start.
The exact same can be said about Cam last year @ state.

when Auburn played State last year, Malzahn didn't know Cam's ability. Even against Clemson, (which took them to OT and lost w/ a missed FG making it the closest game they played), Cam wasn't a running threat. It was when he took off on a 50 yard run against USC in the first half that Malzahn realized he needed to change his strategy. In the 2nd half, Cam started running the zone read option which carried them to the BCS Championship.
This.

The talent difference in the game last year was vast.
Not true.
PP7 made one hell of a play to change the face of the game with the pick. He was the difference in that game. It was a really good game until Relf went out late 3rd quarter.

Honest question because I do not follow State closely:
Did they beat any good teams last year?
Teams of note that they beat. Georgia(no), Florida(no), Michigan(lulz).
basically.....they caught some incredible luck by catching a three big named teams at their absolute worst in recent memory. That's the main cause of their hype from last season.

No. Auburn at the end of the season was exactly the same as Auburn at the beginning of the season. And MSU is the only team in any sport on any level that improves as the season goes on.
Because of how close the Auburn/MSU game was and that MSU was the only team to improve, it's obvious that they should have been playing for the NC.

I went to the Michigan/ST bowl game. Michigan was absolutely TERRIBLE. They had the worst secondary in the nation without a doubt! Worse than Auburn's, lol. My best friend is from Michigan and a huge fan, before we went to the game he told me it would be a blow out. He was right.

But this doesn't agree with Coonass's bullshite
maybe because Cam had 18 carries against State and averaged less than 4 ypc...we were knocking his arse off. Considering he had 6 more carries than any other Auburn player- I'll have to say that ol Gus had already figured out who his best runner was before they played State

My simply brain caused me to miss that outlook.

MSU still isn't that good. Memphis sucks, Auburn is rebuilding, LSU has so many off the field problems that it is falling apart.

Granted, I might remember this wrong, but Mississippi State hasn't won its first two games in a season since 2000 and hasn't won a conference opener since 1999...Correct?

Yet, you'll only manage to beat one of them.
TD's, I guess the Peoples University doesn't understand the importance of losing an LT and then trying to replace one.

Turn your sarcasm meter up a few notches. I think that Relf is about the 8th or 9th best QB in the SEC.
