Penn State tailgate photo's in Tuscaloosa last year. They truly are a trashy fan base who cheer for an overrated program and coach.

To make it worse, the damned wedding is DURING the game...
Man, that's tough ~ I'm afraid I'd be tagged a shitty uncle because I'm not sure I'd make that wedding.

This. Her damned fault for choosing that day and time for her wedding. Wedding planners are supposed to raise all these scenario's for this exact reason. I told my daughter that when she grows up, if she gets married on a saturday in the fall, she better make sure its the week of North Texas or some shite like that, otherwise, she is gonna have to find someone else to give her away.

I checked the schedule the moment I saw the invitation...and almost flipped out. I told her there was a good chance I wouldn't be there, but she batted her doe eyes and plaintively said "but Uncle Advocat, you just HAVE to be there"...
I swear I'll be listening in the truck or on earbuds...and the reception can kiss my arse, I'm off to the nearest sports bar.

Aw hell naw. I been to philly twice in the last year and a half or so(nephew@PENN), and butted head with Penn ST. fans both times. Talking shite cause I had a Bama hat on. It pissed me off we were so cordial to them last year. They will be Unbearable in Beaver stadium. I ain't trying to get arrested.

it's state college and university park, not college station, not meaning to be a dick
and they know they'll lose this game but they take pride in being offensive, drunken, guido shits. i hope you bammers can beat some silly. i was actually planning on attending this game (then i saw UGA/USC was that week so that ended fast) and i was gonna wear either UGA or for the first and only time Bama gear

you will see the same amount of jersey wearers at uf as you would at penn state.

I talked to an older Penn State fan last weekend in Memphis. He came down to the breakfast area fully bedecked in Penn State gear, carrying a Penn State dufflebag. I approached him while he was scooping up some scrambled eggs and mentioned that I was a Bama fan and that I was looking forward to the game this year. He wheeled around and said "Yah, we're gonna shew you Bama fans what real football is all about"...I just chuckled, scooped up some eggs and told him I was looking forward to it, but as Bama fans, we already know what real football is all about.
Its gonna be a great trip...

After what that trashy fanbase did to our campus, I have no desire to travel to State College. I'd rather just go to Gainesville again. I haven't been since 1999. I'll be glad when we have a home-and-home with a classy fanbase, again, like Oklahoma, Nebraska, or Michigan.

Never been there, not sure why i was thinking that. I've heard their campus was nice, but from experience, there fans are very punch worthy.

Same here. I had to laugh at some things they were saying. They are an interesting bunch to say the least.(putting it nicely)

There will be a lot of "taking it with a grain of salt" from these douches. The atmosphere will be terrific though...

The 2002 and 2003 games were the best time I've ever had at a football game, that wasn't a SEC game.

I didn't have a single bad thing to say after our game there. And their fans who made it to tuscaloosa were top shelf.

Penn. St. Recently changed their rules concerning tailgating:
Football Game Day Alcohol Restriction Responsible tailgating is a time-honored tradition here at Penn State. In order to provide greater support to the Penn State Football team, Penn State University will no longer permit alcohol consumption in the parking lots while the football game is underway—from kick off to the final play.
Tailgating before and after the game is a great game day tradition—a time for reunions of family, friends, and alumni—and the University is pleased to serve as hosts to these gatherings. Increasingly in recent years, some people have used football Saturdays as simply an excuse to stage an all-day drinking party in the University's parking lots and have lost the true spirit of Penn State football. This restriction has been created to support the tradition of pride displayed by football fans and create a favorable environment for the great majority of our guests. Failure to comply with this directive may result in both administrative and criminal sanctions. Be responsible when showing your Penn State spirit!
