BG is skinny and Stud is fat therefore BG is a vastly superior coach despite no quantifiable evidence to support this notion at all

Serious suggestion: LSU should hire Ralph Friedgen to be their OC. Great offensive mind, very experienced and has a similar offensive philosophy to Les Miles.

Same here, hope the rumor of Parkinson's is false.
My former mother in law has that, and it's not good at all.

I'm a little confused as to why he steps down but remains a coach. Granted, I'm not extremely familiar with the ins and outs of Parkinson's, but it seems a little weird that he will still be coaching, but not calling the shots.

Hate to hear that for the guy. My father was diagnosed with Parkinsons about 4 years back. Shitty, shitty disease.

BG Better? GAWD no.

This tells me Miles will have a strong influence.

Too bad camp started today. Prayers to krags and his family in these difficult times. I hope being able to spend more time with his family and loved ones makes him strong. Thanks for all you did in your short time at LSU.

well it also less demanding i'm sure coaching one position than running the entire offense.

kinda nice of him to still help out with the QB's because he is a natural qb coach.

Probably so. It just seems like it might create a strange dynamic amongst the offensive coaches. I'm certainly am not criticizing as I am no position to know the details or facts, just something that seemed a little odd.

Is Parkinsons something that hits you really quick?

I guess Im curious why he couldnt continue his job for the next 4 months if this is an early stage condition.

Or has he konwn and is it has gotten to the point where he cant continue his job?

I m lookin for a timeline.

Kinda strange that he is making this big of a decision right now. Parkinsons is a degenerative disease that takes place over years. When my father was diagnosed 4 years ago, he had a very slight tremor in his right hand. Now, it's a little more prenounced and his right leg shakes when he's sitting down, but it doesn't affect his career in any way.

Obviously everyone's situation and family is different, just surprised to see him not finish this year.

No, it's progessive.

He will still be able to be a QB coach for the next 8-12 years.
