Clay Travis (and his neckbeard) is fapping to generate hits on his new site
A quick education into how sites like Clay Travis' and SBB work:
* You partner with a selling agency to manage your ad inventory - probably Big Lead Sports given their content, but possibly a group like Intermarkets who handles the sale of the ad inventory on Drudgereport.com among others.
* The contracts usually call for a revenue split with said selling agency. 50/50 split is typical, though the site owner can get better if they are huge & established (like 65/35 better).
* The ads are sold on a basis of 1,000 ads viewed (CPM). An ok CPM is $2 (this means if your ad is seen 1,000 times you pay $2, of which the selling agency gets $1 & the site owner gets $1). Often CPMs are in the $0.50-$1 range for unestablished sites (like clays)
* A site like Clay's and SBB likely gets somewhere in neighborhood of 1M page views each month. "Break" a story like Clay's Montgomery Suit story on Thursday or his "Suitgate" obsession since and you are more along lines of about 3M page views.
* 3 ads (typically) per page means you would get 9M ad impressions - or 9,000 blocks of a thousand ads to sell.
* all this means is a story like what Clay is running now likely makes him $4,500 on a high end. Without a story like this and he is looking at $500
He and SBB have tremendous financial incentive to push these stories as much as possible in effort to generate page views (pvs). Without it, they make peanuts off of the sites.

This is what you're bringing to the discussion?
Is it not a legit question? I am just curious.
And as a Bama fan I am concerned over this issue. With our track record with the NCAA over the past 20 years lust makes me uneasy.

You are concerned over a retired coach having a sideline pass on a field named after him?

I mean why does Pat Dye have a sideline pass at Auburn games??
Didnt he get fired for paying players while at AU?

I may be mistaken, but isn't T-Town menswear tha store that provides suits to all the coaches. At the end of the coaches shows (not just football) it says woredrobed provided by ---. So would not be suprised if he gets a sideline pass.
