Repost from Tiger Rant:
LSU has had the second toughest from 2003-2010. The toughest? Arkansas - little surprise there. After all, Arky has to play LSU every year.

Another poster noticed that 11 of the SEC schools are in the top 20. Geaux Tigers.

The home and home with USC and Texas, then the addition of a 10 year deal with Texas A&M helped our OOC SOS in the past few years.

Living in Austin and being absorbed by all things Big 12/Texas, I can't tell you how this makes my blood boil.
Looking at most difficult single season schedules, the first Big 12 team enters at #68 for OU's 2008 effort. Texas lands at #100 for the 2005 (National Championship) schedule.
Compared to Arkansas' single season difficulty rankings at
#3 for 2010
#5 for 2006
#12 for 2009
#18 for 2005

When you have an SEC champion, the numbers seem to show that they should get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to choosing the contenders for the championship.
The Big 12 should not (especially now, having lost Nebraska and being required to play more mediocre teams from old the Big 12 North).
