Depth on the DL is no where important as it's made out to be.
LSU played 11 of the 13 defensive linemen on the 2010 roster. Eight of them played in at least ten games.
.Drake Nevis-played in and started all 13 games in 2010
.Lazarius Levingston-played in all 13 games and started 12 in 2010
.Sam Montgomery-Started the first five games as a true freshman before being injured.
.Josh Downs-Played in 11 games in 2010 with no starts
.Chancey Aghayere- Played in 12 games in 2010 starting twice
.Lavar Edwards-Played in 12 games in 2010 with six starts after Sam Montgomery was injured
.Michael Brockers-Saw action in 12 games in 2010 with one start
.Kendrick Adams-Played in 12 games in 2010 and made 11 starts at left defensive end
.Bennie Logan-Has seen action in the three games I 2010 against Vanderbilt, McNeese State and ULM
.Chris Davenport-Played in two games in 2010 with no starts
.Dennis Johnson-Played on the defensive line in five games in 2010
.Jordan Allen-Redshirted as a true freshman in 2010.
.Ego Ferguson-Redshirted as a true freshman in 2010
How is depth not important?
