Thanks, I have been stalking here for a while and decided to start posting.

It happens on every campus, as far as the batting of eyes. Brooks is trying to link money from AU to the Tigerettes to Robinson and others. Brooks is barking up the wrong tree again but hey he gets hits and gets the clueless to buy into his crap because guess what if you post it about a rival team it must be true.

Come on man. One of my buddies was a tiger host. They don't recruit. They give tours to incoming students on campus and other related activities. They got paid about as much as I did around $8 bucks an hour. When I was at Auburn, there were several guys and girls that worked with me in the Student Act, who also were Tiger Hosts and Hostesses. I never thought they got paid to do that, but could be wrong. What would be funny is if Brooks thought he was breaking some story and these payments were for actual part-time jobs on campus. Hell, my wife landed a gig videotaping classes for long-distance students. You'd be amazed at the bullshite you can get paid for on campus.

If that's all they did, then why not just use the other student organization that is charged with those duties not affiliated with the athletic department? Why is it so selective? Why the intense training? Why do most of the hostesses fit a certain mold in regards to looks?
Sure their main duty isn't recruiting in the traditional sense, but they serve a supporting role in recruiting.
