They had a huge tent around the site for about a week excavating soil and what not, trying not to disturb the roots. I don't really know much about what they have to do, so its hard to say exactly
.

Thanks. I was looking on the net to see what was going on, and all the post are about the guy who did it.

If I remember correctly all he did was tests the photosynthesis in the leaves with some sort of hand held meter. He may have taken some soil samples, but that takes longer to get results. His whole thing was he didn't think they were poisoned because the leaves didn't show any signs of poisoning. Remember though Harvey did this is the middle of cold November, with plenty of rain.. With those conditions it would take the poison longer to show up in the leaves. The soil samples just turned out to be more concrete evidence they were actually poisoned.

So when he said the trees had not been poisoned, was he lying or incompetent? He claims to be the expert.

Did you even bother to read what he wrote?

Do Auburn fans really care about the Toomers Corner trees? Nobody seems to know what they have done to save them or even how they are.

I do kind of have to agree that if he is the expert, then he should have known to take those kinds of things into consideration. And thats what a good defense attorney will say in the courtroom too if the defense is dumb enough to try to use that line of thinking, which I dont think they will. It will only lead to discredit the man's status as an expert.

This may happen even if he goes to jail. From what I am told, former cops are very welcome with the other inmates....

One has about a 50-50 chance of making it and the other one is toast. As far as the measures taken, all they can do (and what they did do) is remove the contaminated soil, replace it with clean dirt w/ activated charcoal in it to try and adsorb any residual toxins in the roots etc.

the people saying that someone else could have done it on Harvey's cue are fricking retarded. The soil was taken the day Harvey called into Finebaum and the samples were sent for testing. Those tests came back positive. Therefore the poison was in the soil when the call was made. They will not attempt that defense Kaptin.

That's a pretty dumb question. I can't speak for everyone else on this board, but yes, I do care about the trees. I'm sure you think our tradition of rolling Toomers Corner is stupid, and that's ok.

I am not an Auburn student or even an Auburn Alumni, so I don't know what's going on down there 24/7. I know what's reported by the news. They're currently running tests to make sure that the trees on Magnolia were not affected by the poison. They've got the trees on Toomers Corner blocked off so people can not walk on the concrete above the roots.

I agree with you to an extent on your synopsis. Now please, STFU

Harvey for Governor. This is setting up beautiful for a run for Office in Montgomery or at least head man over the Department of Agriculture

It's not a dumb question. It just seems the trees are used as flames against Alabama fans, and less about actually caring about the trees.

And I don't think the traditon is stupid. I love every tradition in college football. Thats what makes it college football. In my life I have spent more time on the Auburn campus than I have in T-Town.

I said I'd agree with your synopsis to an extent. I think the fact that he admitted on PF yesterday that he was Al from Dadeville was a pretty stupid move and can be used as evidence against him. Just my $.02 though

It is too easy to prove for him to try to deny it. That is how they found him in the first place.

No way brah, the REC has a plant in the Gov's office already. He already put Lowder and Rane back on the Auburn BOT.

That was off the record btw. The REC's official position on the Auburn BOT situation is that we have no official position.

Exactly, and if it goes to court, the defense will be that he was shite stirring and someone heard him and did what he said and sat back and is watching him take the fall for it.
