AWWWW, you're only undefeated season with a bowl win and you werent national champs? Bamas had 2of those. Of course, it doesnt matter because namath scored.

Dude, this is a really good thread. Excellent idea. I am enjoying all of these old pictures.
ETA: If I can find a way, I will scan in some shots of an old Auburn vs. Tennessee football program I have. It is from 1937 I believe. I will look into that when I get home from work.

Why in God's name couldn't the Bear have talked JV into recruiting those athletic black fellers the same time he did? All our problems would have gone away if JV wasn't such a racist a-hole. Of course, everyone was a racist a-hole back then, but still.
The Bear valued winning over racism and it started Bama on a path to perpetual football success. JV dug his heels in and refused to do what was best for the program, and now look at us.
Douche bag.
