By the way, have we decided it was really a Georgia fan? Can we do that? That would be great.

My local news is interviewing people on the street for their tree reaction.
Its better than you can imagine.
This is the LEAD story on the 10:00 news. And now that they're done with people on the street interviews they're reading comments from facebook.

The guy who killed the tree should face severe consequences. Absolutely no excuse whatsoever to kill an irreplacable landmark. Having said that, how the flying frick is this the entirew Bama fanbases fault and not the actions of a pyscho nut? Why don`t Auburn fans ever have any perspective on anything? When Auburn fans rolled Toomer`s Corner upon hearing of Coach Bryant`s death, Bama fans didn`t ascribe that to all Auburn fans. When Auburn fans on ITAT made light of Derrick Thomas`s tragic untimely death, Bama fans didn`t come down on Auburn fans in general. When an Auburn fan on ITAT talked about pissing on John Mark Stalling` grave (Coach Stalling`s late son who died of Down`s Syndrome) and Auburn fans didn`t call the guy out Bama fans didn`t univerally condemn Auburn fans. Why is it that a lone nut poisoning Toomer`s Corner an indictment of all Alabama fans to Auburn fans?

I don't blame bama fans at all. Most have expressed a lot of anger that an idiot would do something like this. As an Auburn fan, I appreciate their support.

Bama fan posing as an Auburn fan rolled TC after Bryant died.
Bama fans posing as Auburn fans laughed when Derrick Thomas died.
Bama fan posing as an Auburn fan peed on JMS' grave.
Blam, you just got Irons Puppet'd.

I was pleasantly suprised at how universally negative and even hostile the reaction has been on Alabama boards towards the person responsible for sabotaging the trees. I expecting more snide remarks but the reaction has been one of disgust that somone associated with Alabama single handedly managed to destroy a historic landmark.

The screaming chick at the end was very disturbing.

This actually kinda pisses me off as a southerner in general. Our old oaks across the south are one of those things that I love about the south.

I do find it a little curious that the tree story just happened to conveniently break just after the NCAA story regarding Thibadeaux. Haven`t Auburn officials known about the tree sabotage for several days now?

I dont completely disagree with you but I'm amazed by the number of Bama fans trying to justify it because auburn fans did this or did that at some point in time. Guy comparing it to the cam jersey taped on da bear statue on the radio was laughable at best. I'm an alabamian so naturally I'm embarassed daily of my fellow citizens but the feeble attempts at justification are priceless. Not saying guys like this are the norm for bama but I also don't think they're as few and far between as some would lead on. Now que the auburn fans suck too comments.
