To be fair to you guys, it's just your postseason history in the past 30 years that sucks. You had some good history prior to this in the SWC.
Right, that's what I meant... our post season history.

From reading this thread it looks like most Hog fans think that you have turned the corner with Petrino. I agree he is a good coach and has a great offensive system in place. What I don't see is how you are going to elevate your program to the championship level with 3* talent (based on recruiting rankings the last 4 years). Doing that seems like smoke-and-mirrors and arkyhype to me, just like with the good years under Nutt. No flame.
I just don't agree... Petrino > Nutt
I honestly don't think we will ever have a no bowl season again under Petrino... maybe I'm wrong, but I don't see it happening.

I agree with this. Petrino WAY > Nutt. All I am questioning is his ability to "get to the next level" without consistent top #10 recruiting classes, when you have to compete with the likes of Bama and UF in the SEC (with top #10 classes every year). It seems you guys are trying to put the cart before the horse with this.
I agree that you should always be in a bowl with Petrino (vs. Nutt). But I think that you also have to admit that in 3 years with Petrino, all you have to show for it (in terms of postseason wins/hardware) is a Liberty Bowl win vs. CUSA ECU. I do agree that Petrino will pretty much always be able to do "more with less" than Nutt could, but it sounds like you guys are after champs now and will not be satisfied with this.
