You don't need a 275 lb DE freak to stop Cam Newton, you have to wrap him up with your f-ing arms.

185 lb DB's can tackle Newton if they do form tackling.

Easier said than done, my friend.

buckeye06, you may want to see some film on cam, hard to tackle, very fast. Did he not win the Heisman Trophy?

Different story. That was in a Sugar Bowl game that Alabama wasn't motivated to play in. I would hope Auburn is motivated in a National Championship game

I swear... All this talk reminds me of UF / OSU in '06. UF didn't have a chance in that game against a heisman winning qb!

I agree and think Oregon shocks the CFB world.

It would only be a shock if every expert and talking heads picked Auburn in a landslide....Plenty are picking UO...With that said no worries about you going into shock.

Auburn will beat the shite out of Oregon and it will not be a close game.

I bet they beat them as bad as they beat USC in the SEC CG.

I think the OP has a point.

I'd take AU's D-line vs. Oregon's small backs and
AU's O-Line plus Cam vs. Oregon's D-line.

It does always come down to that "plus Cam" thing doesn't it?

AU will win.

It wasn't your line it was Newton

This statement is quite hilarious. They tossed our d-line around like rag dolls. I still have nightmares about that game. The final score was no indication of the arse whooping that took place on the field that day.

All I said in my original statement was that DBs tackle TEs all the time, which is the same weight difference.

Yes, I understand that Cam Newton won the heisman, but I also understand that Bradford won it in 08, T. Smith won it in 06 down the board, and they lost in the NCG.

And yes; I know a lot about the ducks vs. a QB like Newton....because Pryor played them Jan 1, 2010. Rowe was disruptive in that game and I expect him to be the same in this one.
