Why wouldn't the governor wait until Monday (or Tuesday) to see if Cam/Aubbie win the NC? No faith?? Want to got ahead and get the seal stamped before the matter is settled?? I don't get it? Why does he deserve his own day? Do all Heisman trophy winners in Alabama get a day named in their honor?

This is what I was thinking.

Riley declared last Saturday "Cecil Newton Day", but Cam knew nothing about it.

These things are done almost every day in every state house in the U.S., for celebrities and other "regular" citizens.

Ingram definitely did, and I'm sure the others have also (Jackson, Sullivan) but I'm not gonna google it for you.

Also, Ingram's Day was 1-2 days before the NC game, just like Newton's.
