Navy has a flying goat? Lol.

There certainly are some sensitive folks on this board.

Congrats, auburn, on a cool flying eagle named Tiger.

I will admit this thread made me laugh despite it sucking more than a Black Hole......and speaking of Black Hole, the OP needs to shut his.

Navy >>>>>>>> USAF

I am surpised it made out of the stadium without being shot.

I remember a few years ago at J-H at the AU/LSU game when the eagle swooped pretty low and some dumb coon-arse thought it would be clever to throw a cup at it.

I hope his teeth didn't break when he had a face full of concrete with about 3 police officers on his back while he was being cuffed.

True story. Was at a USAFA game with my aubbie wife when the AF falcon flew around the field while the PA announcer said "Ladies and Gentlemen, the only performing mascot in Div-I athletics." My auburn wife got all fired up about the eagle, and I replied that auburn has a performing "war chant" not a performing mascot.

As for the AWOL performance today in Shreveport, does the aubbie eagle ever perform at away games? Will it make an appearance in Glendale?

Finally, congrats to Troy Calhoun and AFA!

We can all only hope that you are NOT an example of the Air Force's finest.

and the bars - he was bored with the stuffy AFA and wanted to get his Swerve on.

Here I am, U.S. Navy/Disabled, and my son (current AU student) decided he'd go Army ROTC.

Still pull for Navy in the Army-Navy game though. And though he says he doesn't, I think my son does too. Habits are sometimes hard to break.

Sigh...when parenting goes wrong...

Though that happened to a friend of mine. His dad was a retired Navy Chief, and his wife's dad was retired O-6, and then he decided to go Army ROTC. Let's just say he realized the folly of his ways about two years in. Now he's in the NUPOC program.

I was in the endzone right in front of where it happened. Every LSU fan pointed out the kid that threw it (It was a bottle). The State Troopers pulled him over the wall, through the bushes and he got fricked up. Also, he got hit a Federal Charge (Endangering an Endagered Species) - was also dismissed from LSU. I'm sure his folks were proud of him

This thread would have been solid had the OP mentioned that he watched the bird fly right out of the stadium. That part was on sports center.

Why is it that Auburn's Eagle named Tiger is not considered "performing mascot"?
