Yeah, who wants to retire to Auburn?

Wrong again. High end homes have / are being hit a lot harder than anything under $200,000
Well that explains why this one has a sale pending!

Tubs old house in Auburn is probably not in the same stratosphere as a nice Lake Burton property...as far as the pool of potential interest goes.
You are correct, and further piss on your thought that Saban's lake house will sell. Saban's lake house is bigger and on the Lake. Take a look at how the lake houses across the state have done. Lake Martin houses that were worth 1 million 3 years ago are selling for $250,000 now.

Nobody who isn't still getting a check from the university...

I heard Saban is selling his house to raise money to help buy Bryant-Denny Stadium -- which is currently OWNED by Auburn.

USNews says Auburn is one of the top 10 best places to retire in the nation. So again, you have no clue what you are saying.

I could do this all day!

CALLING someplace a great location to retire too is a far cry from being a place people actually ARE retiring to.
EDIT: Especially people spending millions on their retirement home.

Oh ok. My bad. I forgot they usually put the worst places on these list. Why in the hell would they actually make a list of top places to retire, and actually put places on them that are good to retire! I forgot we were using Bama logic. 2+2=9 and the sky is red.

I see you are using Auburn reasoning skills. Let's try it this way, Auburn is beautiful, has a great property tax level, and would be a great place to retire to. How many have actually done so?

He's getting two rustic lake houses. One on Lake Fork and the other on Lake Texoma. See ya Forrest.

I guess since this thread does not have the magical powers like threads about NCAA by laws, Cam Newton webcam chats, loop holes, statues, or tuna's conspiracy theories it doesn't belong here. What was I thinking!

A lot.

Facts are useless to them. If you had said 2+2=9, that would have been more believable.
