I can get Julio Jones autographed gear. He signs all kinds of things for me and my players. We raffled off a football and a helmet he signed to raise money for equipment.

Do tell! You are aware you just implicated Julio in an NCAA violation aren't you?

How's that an NCAA violation? Players are allowed to autograph things, as long as they aren't being paid for them.

How is that a violation? People get players autographs all the time. Julio didn't get the money for the raffle...the school got it for equipment.

it's not like Julio is receiving any benefit other than writers cramp and making a bunch of kids happy.
No violation whatsoever
No violation whatsoever

Then WTF is the point of Fan Days/Picture Day? Ya know...when hundreds of people line up to get the players autographs? Is it all a big setup?

Perhaps the rules have changed since 1984. I did not take time to look it up. But, Indiana basketball player Steve Alford was suspended one game in 1984 for letting his picture be used on a calender which was being sold for charitable purposes. I don't see how signing stuff to be sold for a pee wee (assumption) football team is different. I'd hope the rule had been modified, but I do not know.

I'm pretty sure if Julio isn't selling it himself, it's not an NCAA violation. Just like when these teams have there fan days and there signing things, they cannot control what the fan does. If the fan wants to sell it, they can. It's not an NCAA violation against the player.

It was changed when 9 Ga football players sold their SEC Championship rings that they were given back in the early 2000's.

he does not get anything in return except paying back his greatest coach of all time. I won four county titles which he told me his NC with Bama did not compare....Julio was the best OLB I ever had. R. Lester was my RB/WR
