Right, but with 7 teams in our division, I assume we're not playing each one of them every year. Which means there will be seasons where we don't play Bama or Auburn or Ole Miss—correct?

Why would you think that we would not play them each once? We play a 12 game schedule. So even if we played them all at least once we could still have 5 OOC games or 3 OOC games plus 2 games against the SEC EAST. The PAC-10 teams all played each other (9 games) plus 3 OOC games. Now I am not saying that the SEC should do something just because the PAC-10 did it (That would be a step backwards). But just saying that it could still easily work were even in an expanded SEC, the divisional teams could and should still play each other once per year.

Why in the hell does everyone keep talking about Texas joining the SEC? It's a pipe dream people!!!! It will NEVER happen.

Texas generates enough revenue as the nation's richest, and most profitable football program, with revenues of $53.2 million, and a profit of $38.7 million. And this is not even factoring in the benefits it gets from being one of the top schools in terms of license merchandise sales, much of which is not specifically football related.

So....STFU about Texas joining the SEC. Ain't gonna happen.

If any Texas teams were to join the SEC, the possibilities could be....

1. A&M
2. Baylor
3. TCU
4. Houston

For the East I've always felt we should have another team from Florida, add Clemson, add Ga Tech, and possibly VA or VA Tech.

If this is the case—playing 9 conference games per year instead of 8—that makes expansion more acceptable to me. Exchanging a cupcake for a conference team ain't a bad thing.
