glad to know football doesn't mean that much to you.
Just because people aren't chopping it to their coach everyday doesn't mean that they don't care about football...

some schools manage to care about more than sport. I know it's hard to fathom, but it's true.

I mean I like it fine but it wouldn't work in Alabama b/c of all the attention that Bama and the Barn get. I like BDS better than some of the NFL stadiums I've been to anyway

I'm sorry. As I've grown older, I've learned to like and appreciate the NFL more...

We will include the following parishes/counties in our state/country:
St. Tammany 228,456
Plaquemines 21,276
St. Bernard 37,722
Orleans 311,853
Jefferson 436,181
Hancock 42,967
Harrison 178,460
Jackson 131,420
Mobile 399,843
Baldwin 165,200
Escambia 294,410
Okaloosa 170,498
The total population of our new nation/state would be 2,418,286. If Mississippi lost these three counties their new population would be 2,585,771. The Coast and New Orleans area will continue to grow. I would say we could overtake them by 2014

Hey dumbfrick.
The University of Alabama just finished a 7 year capital campaign for donations to be used for scholarships and funding for the university. It raised over $600 million with over 130,000 unique people making donations.
The athletic department just finished a 5 year campaign in 2007 to raise funds for our last expansion. Goal? $50 million. Amount raised? $70 million.
So frick off with your holier than thou bullshite. Because our alumni can raise a ton of money for scholarships and capital improvement for our university and field a profitable and successful football team.
The two are not mutually exclusive.
And who the hell are you to throw in your poorly formed and ignorant opinion?
You're from fricking New Jersey and are a fan of a school from Mississippi. You're embarrassing.

I've been to Jacksonville's stadium for example and it is way smaller than BDS

Why? Because I don't care for pro sports? Hell, the Saints were damn near taken out of New Orleans. Seems to me Louisiana spent damn near forty years not caring about pro sports.

Most NFL stadiums are smaller than many college stadiums...

BDS and Tiger Stadium are larger than every NFL stadium. Only one NFL stadium is larger than Jordan-Hare.
