Nick Saban to the Dallas Cowboys?

When Jerry Jones cleans house, Saban will probably be on his short list. Jones would love to make another Jimmy Johnson type of hire, and Saban's ego and wallet won't be able to resist the temptation.

Tried it once and it didn't work. He's not going anywhere.

I don't see that happening.

What, in all that has happened SINCE he ran off J Johnson, leads you to believe this?

lsu/SEC fans would love nothing more than for Saban to leave. Is it fear, or jealousy?

Saban has burned all bridges to the NFL.

Yes, that's what it is. I go to bed every night only to wake up screaming, "SABAN, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO", in the middle of the night.

Lumping into groups is stupid and lazy. I defy you to find one negative post of mine toward Saban or a wish for him to be gone. I am but one of many.
Its foolish when people post "Bama fans are ____" (or any other "group")
Lazy and childish. Dog bites a child, child fears all dogs. Dog bites an adult, adult avoids THAT dog.

Are there people actually talking seriously about this? Saban couldn't win in the NFL the first time. By all indications he didn't enjoy it there. Why would anyone actually believe he would take another shot at it - and why does anyone believe an owner would want to give him that shot? Makes absolutely no sense.
After some pretty bad recent coaching hires and no playoff wins in over a decade, Jerry needs to change the way he operates. You have Cowher, Dungy, Chucky and Shanahan all out of coaching right now. Each of them has at least one Superbowl ring and plenty left in their tanks. All of these guys are an upgrade from the pantload currently on that sideline. Jerry needs to make a serious run at Cowher and tell him that he will let Cowher run the team the way he wants it run. And then he needs to get out of the way.
There are too many qualified NFL head coaches available right now to resurrect a failed college-to-pro experiment.

Ciznick to the cowboys

Saban was decent in the NFL, imo. The Dolphins just had an aged roster. He gave the Colts their last major whupping (the same Colts that went on to win the SB). He held his own against the Bill Belicheck, and his Dolphins OC is now getting accolades with the Falcons. Plus he gave the Cowboys' OC (Jason Garrett) his first NFL gig when nobody else would.
Btw, I thought Garrett was doing the head coach in waiting thing? Imo, Jones will go after Bill Cowher.

Another fine example of the pathetic obsessed LSU fan living for the day that Saban leaves Alabama.

Another fine example of you rubbing the sand in your vagina because everyone in the world isn't waiting in line to suck off Saban like you.

Never officially named him CIW, even though I believe that was the desire at one time. However, Garrett's name has really cooled the last couple of years. He has called some boneheaded games recently. I think Cowher should be Jerry's biggest play. Do whatever it takes to get Cowher to consider an offer to coach the Cowboys.

IMO, no way. Jones would probably want him, but Saban is clearly a Type A coach that demands total control. Jones is a Type A egomaniacal owner billionaire. You think Saban would put up with Jones roaming the sidelines telling him what plays to run?
The last great coach to coach Dallas was Parcells, and he couldn't deal with Jones. They will only attract understated figurehead coaches like Campo, Phillips, maybe Les Miles??? Jones is the owner and coach, always will be.

Experience tells me you are right. However, I am waiting for that day when Jerry decides he likes winning Superbowls more than he likes making headlines, and he will realize that the way he goes about his business is designed for making headlines and will not win him anymore championships. I keep telling myself that once he has that epiphany, he will put a staff in place that can return them to the top. I can dream, right?
