A- a good call--
"Ball Out of Bounds
ARTICLE 3. a. A ball not in player possession, other than a kick that scores a field goal, is out of bounds when it touches the ground, a player, a game official or anything else that is on or outside a boundary line."
Julio is out of bounds when he touches the ball simultaneously with Peterson. Even before Peterson could tuck the ball, the ball was dead.
Keep grasping at those straws....

Just wondering.......... did you read the rule I posted? Because it has nothing to do with the gif you posted.

My point is, the call wasn't nearly as bad as everyone is trying to make out.
Anytime there is a clear interception, supported by video evidence, in a national championship semifinal game, in the fourth quarter, in a 6-point game ... I think it's safe to say it was one of the worst calls in the conference this season.
If you don't see that, you're blind.
That said, LSU still may not have scored. But LSU certainly got robbed of the opportunity at a crucial time in the game.

Considering that you're claiming Julio touched it while out of bounds and therefore the ball is dead, I'd say video of the play in question that you are referring to is pretty important.
FWIW, it's stupid to make that claim and you make yourself look a little silly. You know it was the wrong call just like everyone else ... there's no defending it.

After watching and rewatching the video, I think it would have probably been the wrong call IF Julio did not touch the ball while out of bounds. But he does. Now, does Peterson have control of it before Julio's foot comes down out of bounds? I don't know. But it's a very very close call, despite all the whining to the contrary on this board.

Spin it any way you want, but it was an interception and there was clear video evidence showing that it was an interception.

I never thought there would be a Gump dumb enough to try and dispute that the call was wrong, but I sold the Gumps short. There's always one dumb enough no matter what.

So where's your proof that Julio touched the ball? Cuz I sure as hell don't see anything..

So, how many of you believe that the controversial interception call was:
a.) A good call.
b.) Should have been overturned by video evidence.
c.) was correct as there was not enough evidence to overturn the call.
d.) believe that the referees were helping fix the game for Alabama.
Just so we know where everyone stands.
Another interception thread. kms.
I say:
e.) it does not matter, the game has been over more than 24 hours (Didn't learn the Saban rule yet?)

You don't think he touched this ball???

That picture is fuzzier than Terry Saban's balls.

I'll give you a hint:
Julio's hand is at the end of his arm.

regardless if he did, he's still in the air.

All this time? He never came down? Damn, I know Julio's got hops, but I didn't know he had it like that.

Oh, look, he did come down.
Is he still touching the ball? I don't know, but it's likely.

There doesn't have to be. It was ruled incomplete on the field. YOU have to prove that it WAS an INT to get the call overturned.

As stated earlier, you have no conclusive evidence that Julio touched the ball or was not in the air if the touch occurred, so drop your argument.
