Whatever idiot.
Sorry you can't abandon your homerism and realize the truth. I think almost any other objective fan would agree with my assessment.
You probably also believe that Charles Scott is a better running back than Mark Ingram, don't you? And I guess Les Miles is a better coach than Nick Saban? Right.

Can you imagine if Peterson was playing for either UF or UA? With Haden/Peterson or Arenas/Peterson, ridiculous.

Arenas seems like the perfect fit for a C-2 D
Throw in his return skills and i would take him..although purely for a cover CB by the tim PP comes out he will be better

I think PP is one of the top three corners in the country. Arenas may be more valuable overall, though, due to his PR skills....

Right now Javier Arenas is rivalling McClain for most complete player at their posistion on D. Thats just a measure of how great I think his play on D has been. I imagine that in coverage Peterson probably is the guy, but Arenas is the more complete player.
Some could say that PP isnt put into the same role Javier is, but that is your DCs problem, and doesnt prove that PP can better Javy as a blitzer. I mean, Javy has taken down guys 9 inches taller and 30 pounds heavier solo.

Peterson couldn't hold Arenas jock strap, even though he'd like to.
give me 3 reasons why Arenas is better than PP.

according to scout and nike camp:
PP 4.4 40 34 inch vert
Haden 4.4 40 37 inch vert
Someone mentioned Peterson is quicker and faster.

It's not even close. Peterson is hands down the best CB in the country. If this was his junior year we'd be talking about a top 10 overall pick. 6'1" 205 lb freak athlete. Great cover corner and great in run support. Why do we keep having this conversation. It's not even close. If you need validation from someone other than a poster on a message board just look to Sarkisian who said PP was the best football player to ever come through a USC camp in his entire 5-6 years while at USC. That includes bush, white, polamalu, etc. The guy shows it on the field and he'll show it this week and next year when he's a top 10 pick.
PP >>>>>>>>>>>>> Arenas
PP >>>>>>>>>>>>> Arenas

thats your answer, the question is, are bama fans the biggest homers in existence.

That's my opinion. Name one better. Who's the #1 CB in the country in your opinion?

Peterson is the next version on this guy:
(they have similar specs (PP is bigger than he was in HS) and move the same i.e. hips and playing ball in the air)
Nnamdi Asomugha

1. He's Hispanic.
2. He has a cool last name.
3. Because I said so on an internet forum.

Well the thorpe award committee seems to think Arenas is better considering they made him a semifinalist and didn't pick Peterson.

-stats (PP has none because no one throws near him and we don't corner blitz and he doesn't play ST)
-preseason hype (he's a sophomore and Bama gets way more publicity)
even your friends on here will agree PP is a better CB, just not used as all around.

Both are great corners, and both have their strengths and weaknesses. Either one is a great choice, and both will definitely be playing on Sundays.

What are PP's weaknesses? Just curious...
The only one I find with Arenas is his height will be a disadvantage with taller receivers (Tolliver, Lafell).
Other than that I agree.

I haven't watched enough of PP to really tell what his weaknesses are, but every player has them. They may not be glaring, but they're there, and I bet you could find some if you really tried.

Peterson has no weaknesses and he'll be taken much higher in the NFL draft than Arenas. His only fault is he may talk shite a little too much on the field. It's to a point where a team literally does not throw at him or to his side of the field the entire game. He's had games this year where not one pass was attempted to his side the field. Best corner I've seen in college in quite some time.
