I saw a stat saying Auburn was around 80% win percentage in home games
something like 365-91.
what is everyone else's record at home defending the home turf?
We Must Protect This House

Bama's record at Bryant Denny is 210-43-3, which works out to be a little more than 82% winning.

Going by Bama's media guide, it states we're 218-46-3 at BDS. Still a 82% winning advantage though.

so I guess around 80% is for good teams. Teams like Kentucky and the Miss's are probably around 50%

That's misleading.... Legion Field should be included considering you played your tougher games there over the years.

Oh,I don't know. I was messing with you.
With that said,if you are going to go "all time" you need to include games at Legion Field for Auburn and Alabama and Mississippi Memorial in Jackson for State and Ole Miss. They each tended to play the top teams there and the bums at home in the 60's and 70's, as well as 80's except for Auburn who stopped playing UT in Birmingham in '78.

You'd have to include it for the Iron Bowl for yall too, since it was 50/50 split over the years.

What?.... first off, only an complete IDIOT thinks that was a 50/50 split.
I'm not talking about the IB, it wasn't a "home game" for either team. I'm talking about the actual home games you played at LF.

I think we have a higher winning % in WMS than DWR. I could be wrong though.
ETA: I found this little gem while looking though. It must have been written by WRT.

In 2002, Nutt and his staff blended a Southeastern Conference Western Division championship with a record-breaking representation on the league’s academic honor roll.

They just updated our website. Our all time stats were there a week ago because I was looking at them, but now I can't find them. Our all time % at VH will have to wait.

only a complete IDIOT thinks there was more than a nominal difference than 50/50 through the '87 game.

I-59... you have no clue.
60-40 easily... all the tickets the City of Birmingham and other organizations were getting. 98% of those people were bammers.
Anyone with an objective brain realizes Legion Field was an uphill battle for Auburn. Now that the game is on each campus, the rivalry is on equal footing (and we've faired quite well since then.)

How many Iron Bowls did you attend at Legion Field before 1988 ?
Posted on 9/8/09 at 11:09 am to I-59 Tiger
My dad has attended virtually every IB since 72. I trust his word.
Granted, losing 9 in a row tends to tip the scales a little
to answer the question, none. How about yourself?

3. 1979,1981, 1987. Legion Field expansion took it to 78,000 in 1978. No way in hell Alabama fans outnumbered Auburn fans 47,000 to 31,000 in those 3 games. If anything ,Auburn may have had more in 1987. To suggest 60/40 is just absurd.

fair enough.
60-40 is not correct, obviously. The fact still remains Legion Field had more bammers there than barners... and playing a "neutral site" game in a building that was the regular season home to Bama was not exactly fair to Auburn.
Since the game has become "equal", Auburn's record speaks for itself.
