Ole Miss and Georgia carry them around a lot as well. I don't see what the big deal is. I wish LSU used them more.

Don't know why or how it caught on, but I think it looks kinda cool when you see the whole stadium shakin 'em. They handed out white towels at the LSU-Tenn game in 2000 and everyone shook 'em and twirled 'em all game. It looked pretty cool to me.

Auburn especially.

And I think I'd prefer two gay guys kissing in the stands over 30-40 thousand guys waving pom-poms. JMO

eta: Waving towels looks cooler too.

They are called shakers, not "pom poms". Their sole purpose is to be used to stir your bourbon and coke.

To finish what Alabamya was saying

let me para-phrase what all of the weird LSU fans do.

"Hey, look at us, we're here to be seen... not to watch football, but to join a party. We're here because of our team's last decade and we wanna jump on the part-ay bandwagon. We're unlike the other fans who've been here forever loving this team truly. We just want to act out and empty the stadium when Troy has us kissing the canvas."

You Bama fans find a few RARE pics with pom-poms. LSU fans (and the rest of us) wonder why every single BAMA/Burn fan has them at their games.

I don't understand what the big deal is either way.

Yes this is exactly why they go to the football games. Not to mention those kids were 8 or 9 years old in the 90s. But whatever makes you feel better.

Three of those look like student section pics. I expect them to dress crazy and have a good time doing it. What's the problem with that.
