Well I sure as hell don't root for LSU ever. I rooted for Ohio State to beat you in the MNC. You know why? Rivalries are bigger than anything else, or at least should be. It's what makes the sport fun.

I think most Ole Miss fans living in or are from Louisiana agree with this.

If either Ole Miss or the Gumps made it to the BCS Championship game, I wouldn't root for them, even if they were playing the Al Qaeda All-Stars or the North Korean National Team. Any other SEC team, I would probably root for.

having said that, in this little fantasy world where ole miss makes :rotflmao: the :rotflmao: championship :rotflmao: game :rotflmao: yes i would root for them. i ALWAYS pull for the SEC against any non-SEC team, bowl season or regular season

If Ole Miss makes the MNC, you have to root for them. Here's the good news, you'll never have to root for us.

Actually, in 2003 we certainly wanted yall to beat the hell out of Oklahoma since we only lost to yall by 3 that year, and 2007 most of us were rooting for yall as well. You don't here much hatred for yall from Ole Miss fans around Bowl season.

Matter of fact, i root for LSU to win all except for one weekend.

I would actually love for both Ole Miss and LSU to be undefeated when yall come to Oxford, that way it would make the game epic. I always enjoy a good game between Ole Miss and LSU. VS State though, I love nothing more than to beat the dog shite out of them since if we're even close to losing, we're obviously having a terrible year since State pretty much never has good years.

What's with the old school animosity between OM and LSU? Just an old rivalry or is there more to the story?

Ole Miss and LSU played every year during the 50s and 60s and we were both very, very good back in the day. Thats the origin.

When you talk to older fans who were part of the games in the 50s-70s, you understand the game...throw out the records, doesnt matter...in this day and age when you say UF is the "biggest" game of the year, they look at you like you are crazy...

that's b/c they're living in the past. sure maybe ole miss was a huge game back in the day when they were worth a damn, today it is UF, regardless of history.

Sorry...I could never root for Ole Miss or Alabama. All those fans need is something else to brag about and feel superior to everyone else. They need humility not more arrogance.
