The most picks over a two year period, since the start of the 7 round draft is Georgia (2022-2023) with 25 picks. Sark is within striking distance to tie that. It’s not outside the realm of possibility.
Here are a few draft totals of Texas years not too long ago.
2022 - 0
2020 - 3
2019 - 2
2017 - 1
2016 - 1

He wanted to copy the Saban model and lose 8-10 guys to the draft each year.
He’s got the talent now he needs to take the next step. The other teams in the SEC have gotten better this year
at Florida will be very tough. OU will be a coin flip with their revamped lineup

Does it concern you that the Georgia teams you’re comparing to had 2 national titles and Texas hasn’t reached a championship appearance or do you believe it’s inevitable Sark gets a title in Austin
Legitimate question. I’d be a little concerned pumping out NFL talent and not having close to any hardware

You should get something like a T-shirt or small trophy for such a big accomplishment.

Yeah with a cupcake schedule ranked last as far as SOS in the SEC. Sarks overall head coaching record is still a joke and he will never win anythihgn big. Hes 0-2 in the playoffs in the final 4 when it mattered.
BUt were glad Texas fans like him Hope he stays in Texas for the next 20 years. He will be the 43rd straight head coach at Texas to bust.

Texas fans having a drought over the last 20 years will do anything to try to seem relevant. LOL

Losing 8-10 guys to the draft sure as hell beats losing 8-10 guys to the portal.
He loses 8-10 guys to the draft, he's going to have a net gain via the portal, with guys seeing that not only can they get Texas money via NIL, they have a better chance to get to the next level and cash in even more.

Outside of Isaiah Bond, most of UTrans’ one-year purchases have worked out well for them.
Mitchell, Golden, Mukuba…
I still remember when Quinn Ewers was a 1st round pick
After going 5-7 and 8-5 before uncapped pay-for-pay, Sark has really turned it around!

Ewers was the problem this year. A lot of Horn fans didn't want to acknowledge it but it's a fact. Sark is supposed to be a guru with QBs so it doesn't make any sense why he seemingly could never fix Quinn's issues. I think we'll learn a lot this season and find out if the problem was Quinn or Sark's offense.
Quinn was as great team mate and ambassador for the program and I hope he proves the scouts (and me) wrong in the nfl.

I think he breaks through. 2 years in a row he's 10 yards away from a win and 1 foot away from possible overtime and I think we would have at worst split those 2 titles.
Ifs and buts for sure but I feel confident in the trajectory he will breakthrough

That’s what I believe, if you keep stacking talent like Georgia and Ohio State and Alabama has, you’re going to run into a national championship. Before this year I’m sure many on this board thought Ryan Day would never see one. Hell they probably thought he’d be fired after losing to Michigan at the end of the regular season.
It seems like Sark is building something special. He has the resources available to do it and one of the brighter offensive minds. He’s not perfect but when you get giving your team a chance, a blind squirrel will eventually find the acorn.

We had a drought of 13 years. I absolutely will join you in talking shite but when you go beyond the realm of reality I must inform you that you do indeed suck.

Texas always had good recruiting classes under Charlie and Herman. Go back and look. The difference now is the development of the players we are bringing in.
