Why would you want two head cases at QB?

His brother sucks and will never play meaningful snaps.

No shite, imagine this year their relationship sours as Nico wasn't seemingly the most ideal "leader". Now they have tied up a lot of capital and a spot to this kid.

This is assuming UCLA gave a frick about football though, so point is moot.

Many Arkansas fans were posting on another board that Madden would never take a snap at Arkansas. This was 3 weeks ago. How prophetic.

The classic two-head-cased quarterback platoon.

If one of them transfers at halftime you have a backup ready to go.

UCLA is the red headed step child of LA. Everything is usc first in that city. As long as they have a winning record no ones losing any jobs. That’s the standard at ucla. It’s also why they’ll never be great at football.

Nah, all he had to do was enter the transfer portal if he wanted out. He didn't have to sit out practices, want a renegotiated NIL deal, etc. All he had to do was enter the portal, that's it.

He and his dad bluffed and lost. That's about the crux of the entire thing.

Nico was only staying at Tennessee for the money. The money is how they got Nico to sign with them. The truth is UCLA can give Nico what he and his family want (the money and a scholarship for his little brother) plus it's close to home and in a better football conference.

Nico's brother was committed to UCLA for 8 months and then flipped to Arkansas on signing day.

Why would he do that if he wanted to play at UCLA? Just a dumb family.

The players don't care about that shite as long as the money is right and they're prepared for the NFL. UCLA can provide foundation for an NFL career.

That's people saying shite with no basis rooted in reality. Madden is a 4 star QB who has the body frame to grow into a QB of prototypical size. Madden had as good of an opportunity to play at Arkansas as any other backup QB on their roster.

And in related news, UCLA's Joey Aguilar, who transferred to UCLA just a few months ago, is now on his way out. He struck a deal Monday afternoon to sign with Tennessee.

No doubt, a combo deal with daddy as lead negotiator. I hear they got $0, plus a years supply of In-N-Out burgers and two dozen cookies from Diddy Riese.

Good for him. No need in staying someplace where you're not wanted.

Some people are giving Nico and his family waaaaay too much credit on this when not one thing they did pointed to anything other than getting their bluff called. Sometimes it really is what it looks like. They got their bluff called then after it got call started making up other reasons as to why they left.
