Congrats, Cats, but this still doesn't make any damn sense. You're the enemy now, Denzel. He's a good player, y'all are gonna love him.

I get it. He wants more money. He doesn't have an NBA future, so the money now is gonna set him up.

But Kentucky??

Could have gone to any other blue blood and it would have been fine.

frick you, Aberdeen.

Don't think he starts for UK next year, so this is a bit of an odd move. But BBN seems to be spending some big money in the portal.

Quaintance - F/C
Dioubate - F
Lowe - G
Williams - G
Aberdeen - G

All in the portal already. And this is with Oweh returning if he gets a lower draft grade potentially. And a five-star freshman at shooting guard.

We will sure take him if he wants to be a Cat. Seem to remember him sparking things a bit for you against Houston.

They've been spending big money for years and it doesn't work out for them.

I don't feel bad either. I hope the cats lose all of their meth money to these recruits.

Big surprise today for Cats fans. Needed another shooter. Seems to be a high energy guy. Glad to have him but surprised he left Florida.

Having said that, the portal has gone nuts. It has worked for us and against us. The NCAA has opened Pandora’s box and it along with the money is killing the game.

Good player, and I appreciate his contribution to Gator athletics. He is now Gator bait!

Aberdeen is a great supporting cast type player but he's not a PG imo. Maybe UK promised him point I dunno.

His handle is OK not great and he vision might be the weakest part of his game. Once he commits to going to the rim he almost always goes himself and rarely ever finds and open man to pass to.

He is a solid shooter, defender, and has the confidence to make a play when the team might need him to.

Stings he's going to UK but I guess they're paying him well. Congrats UK and good luck Zel.

Kentucky is preseason top 3-4 at worst.

Pope will be under pressure to perform with this roster they’ve assembled.

Yeah, I get Golden making the choice he did to not meet Zel's demands as much as he would want him as a piece on next years team.

He had his moments for sure. Was going to be a solid starting 2 next year, but he's not irreplaceable.

The head-scratching part is he was a guaranteed starter on a decent squad from the returning NCs. I can't see UK throwing any crazy money at him. Maybe he just thinks he can play the 1?

I can't see it. UK can get who they want. I like Aberdeen a lot and figured he'd grow up a ton in the 4th year with the team, but I don't think even Golden would run the offense through him, why would the cats take the risk?

Apparently UK offered him 2 mil, so no real surprise we wouldn't pay that.

Also hearing UK is spending 20+ mil on its roster next season. That's wild.

Yep, our roster is now complete, and I'm quite pleased. Now it's time for team building and prepping for that run next year.

Yep, this is his team assembled with all the time he could use, unlike last year, and we paid up, so the pressure is now on to win. And given what he has done so far, I see no reason he won't.

IF JQ is healthy, the sky is the limit with this team.

I think they are emptying their purse for this year's team. I don't think Aberdeen is a starter.

The projected starting 5 for the 2025-26 Kentucky Wildcats basketball team is: Jaland Lowe (PG), Jasper Johnson (SG), Otega Oweh (PF), Mouhamed Dioubate (PF), and Jayden Quaintance (C).

Glad to see Arizona State losing players. Bobby Hurley's behavior is just as bad as his older brother's is, and I will be glad to see him lose his job next season.
