Was ready to nitpick but I mean honestly that's not too bad.

Oklahoma has been better than almost all those schools since 2000 I would think.

LSU has won 3 national titles in the SEC since OU’s last national title in the Big12

Pipe down, little guy.

As evidenced by all of the national titles OU has won during this period

I was talking to the Oklahoma fan, but now it fits for you too!

I'd swap Oklahoma and Clemson. Clemson had two all-world quarterbacks. Oklahoma had consistently good teams under Bob Stoops.

That’s fair, I can hear that argument

I’d take 2 national titles over 1 regardless of how consistently well Oklahoma has done.

You play to win national titles. Not to be consistently good but not great

I would put Oklahoma over Georgia. OU has more wins, more conference titles (by a mile), more championship appearances. Only trails by a single NC

Honestly, no argument from me. Ohio State only has 4 seasons in that time frame with less than 10 wins, and 1 was with an interim HC and 1 was during Covid.

They won 3 titles, played for 6, 6 CFP appearances I hate them, but they are always in the hunt.

So Georgia is tied with Florida then...

Alabama wasn’t great from 2000 to 2008, but six national championships clearly puts them on top.

i would put 98 and the start of the BCS as the beginning of the modern era but overall no real gripe with your list other than I would put OU in there over clemson just based on playoff appearances and title games where clemson only has advantage in NCs 2 to 1

in a far shittier league over the time span

Also, do they have more wins? I saw an article dated 3 months ago that showed UGA with a handful more.

more championship appearance

see above. And they have only 1 more championship appearance

quote:

Only trails by a single NC

correct. they do trail.

They also lose the head to head.

So to recap, UGA has more wins, more natties, more head to head wins, all while being in a much tougher league. Seems pretty open and shut.
