SEC Network should do themselves a huge favor for baseball games.

Whichever game they're showing, just let the home team's radio announcers do the game. A few years ago I heard LSU's radio guy and he was great. I know Hogs radio guys are amazing.
This ESPN/SEC crew sounds like junior high kids that crammed about these players after their plane landed.

This should be done with MLB too. I'd rather listen to 500 hours of Gary Cohen than the milquetoast announcers networks pull out of their arse. Baseball guys are just so knowledgeable and it's a huge waste to not use them more.

Agree.
Hogs radio announcers can break down every player in the SEC at a very high level. They do this while being funny and do it old school like it's just two guys talking baseball.
They are homers, which every home guy will be, but that could be kind of fun, I think they would probably turn down the homer stuff if they knew they're doing the tv broadcast.
These ESPN guys are just clueless and fake compared to what the radio broadcasts give us.

Agree. Longhorn Network had a great team for Texas baseball games, Greg Swindel and Keith Moreland. Two laid back dudes that played a lot of big league ball and knew the teams. They might get slightly excited for a great play, but nothing like the over the top screeching that seems to be all over the place now. Great stories during slow times.

You don't want to listen to our guys. Hell, I don't like listening to them most of the time.

Kyle Peterson is the only college guy that ESPN even has that's worth a damn.

There will never be another homer pair like Dave South and Dave Elmendorf.

That would be better, I agree

Sometimes the announcers are not even at the game, but in a studio watching it on a monitor

Dave South had a great voice but could be brutal...
Sometimes in football games trying to listen, you would think the qb threw the ball down the field 20 yds for an incompletion, only to find out that "caught - dropped" was our QB getting sacked for a loss of 13.

It would be harder for radio stations to sell the in game ads so something would have to be done there.

LSU gets Ben McDonald (who is amazing) in the early season games until he has to start doing TV color commentary for the Baltimore Orioles broadcasts.

Noel Galindo is the fricking worst.

Monaco isnt bad as a play by play, but Will Johnson needs to go. I love the radio broadcasts with Ryan Brauninger as the broadcast analyst.
Lowell Galindo was horrific to listen to last night. It was like a cross between Gus Johnson and a pack of 13 yr olds. Can we get that midget a box or something to stand on when they go to the booth with the camera too? He looks like he's waiting on someone to hand him a juicebox.
