Yet, they are still the favorites to win the World Series in their home city

4 straight titles graduated the best class in the history of the sport. A complete roster rebuild with 9 freshman and you expected OU to win the SEC this year? Get OU now. Best freshman class ever coming in next year and this young team is actually ahead of schedule. Congrats Bama!

This Alabama team is awful. This is a bad series loss for OU.

Brocks sister
Congrats Bama. This is not our year. We have more losses ahead as schedule gets tougher. These young gals need to soak up the agony of losing for next year.
We don’t have any pitching depth. And bats have went quit lately.
Enjoy the series win, we rarely lose them so huge respect to your gals

Was shocked our pitching held up as much as they did. Good series win for the ladies, and huge moment for our star freshman!

Every LSU national championship in football, that they have ever won, has been played in New Orleans.

Something tells me that some of the ou teams from the past few years wouldn't be having much trouble with the SEC.

But in a case of karmic retribution, eventually she squared things up by making sure the game that completely broke LSU also occurred in New Orleans.

They didn't they have run through the SEC in the playoffs for years. I don't think they realize how many new players are on this new team. OU starts 1 Senior lol and she didn't even start last night a true freshman did.
As good as OU was last year they still lost series to Texas and Oklahoma St. Then beat those teams in the playoffs. OU is a different animal in OKC but probably not this season, way too young.

No, they would. It’s tough in the SEC softball world. Like most of our sports it’s a grind. I’m not saying they would lose 4 out of 6 like they did, it’s rough weekend and week out competing at a high level. It’s not the Big 12.

Best part of that game was the OU batter thinking she got a walk. And of course she acts nuts like many of their players. Slams the bat down, yelling and screaming heading to first.
Oh wait, that was only ball 3.
Goes back to the batting box kind of embarrassed. And promptly strikes out swinging.

And the crowd was pretty much 50/50 every time.

Straight truth here, they graduated the best class to ever play softball. This team is very young, and the fact that they are doing as well as they are this year doesn't bode well for the SEC in the next few years.

quote:no that’s not what we said we said it isn’t the sec that’s the issue it’s youth …. If our older team was in the sec the last 3 years we would cake walk just like we did in big 12 … it’s not the conference. The sec teams we faced in the World Series lost to OU. UF won one game basically vs our backups pitching it was a throw away game . I know some of you are very prideful but the only real competition for OU is Texas and it’s been that way for 3 years . Now I will say if the young guys don’t start hitting like they did earlier in the year then it’s anyone’s game . Look at OUs record is it really that bad 5 losses lol. We just are not historic like we have been. Give us one more year and we will be again . The number one pitcher in the country is redshirting .

Really weird hill to die on considering OU women’s softball has won…four NCs in a row?
Don’t think the last four OU teams would have a modicum of trouble with the sec.
A year into this sec thing and I still think the conference circle jerk is really weird.
