18 years ago today, Joakim Noah, Al Horford and the Florida Gators defeated Greg Oden’s Buckeyes for a Back2Back title.

Florida is still the only college program to win national titles in football and men’s basketball in the same season.

I still don’t believe the gators didn’t capitalize on all that success. I really thought the football and basketball programs would zoom into the stratosphere and we would see numerous titles. We were on top of the world. The decline was sudden and long.

I still blame the front office for not investing in facilities soon enough. We should have upgraded and outspend everyone else. Poor coaches, poor recruiting. Poor results.

I really took it for granted we would keep winning titles. Be grateful and always appreciate what you have.

Didn't you beat Ohio State for both of those titles?

They beat UCLA for the 06 basketball title. Then Ohio State in 07. But they also beat Ohio State for the 06 football title.

Didn’t know if you were meaning both basketball titles or basketball and football

Poor Texas hasn't been since 2005. Yeah they were okay last year with an easy schedule but still won nothing. They have 1 natty in the last 50 years. Talk about under achieving.

OU owns Texas man, and there is no denying it. Practically every statistic favors OU in that rivalry and in most cases it is a lopsided as Bama and Auburn are. Texas is getting the easy shake last year and this year, on their way to a typical 10 win season, but Texas overall is an overrated and underachieving program. We give the Aggies shite but we should Texas too, because they do underachieve with the amount of resources, money and local Texas athletes

OU has 4 Natty's in the last 50 years which is more than Lsu too btw. Not to mention OU had almost as many conference titles as the rest of the Big 12 combined plus numerous Heisman winners. But you already know how relevant OU has been.

I hated that team.

Because they were so good. Great battles though between them and UK during those years.

Why do you have to make things up Gump? Look below at all time records and maybe get your own bama house in order.

Texas vs. OU all time baseball, Texas leads 158-69-2.
Texas vs. OU all time basketball, OU leads 57-49.
Texas vs. OU all time football, Texas leads 64-51-5.

Texas vs. Bama all time baseball, Texas leads 11-1.
Texas vs. Bama all time basketball, Texas leads 9-4.
Texas vs. Bama all time football, Texas leads 8-2-1.

And I'm not interested in your aggyesque, but but but, what about just these years?

Donovan left to try his hand at the nba, Florida was and probably always will be a football first schools, hard to keep top tier coaches at programs that will always be second fiddle to another sport. and while he didn’t work out muschamp was kirby smart before Kirby smart. Hottest name in coaching, exp under saban and brown, it wasn’t all on the admin they did at least try.
