Glad we don’t have to listen Charles Davis call SEC games.

I really liked Gary, he will be missed by the 80% of viewers that aren't complete psychos on the topic. Guess after 1 season of Big 10 ball he'd seen enough lol.
Charles Davis is awful.

2 years of Rutgers UCLA Football will do that to you.
Too bad we couldn't feed him the 2024 Mississippi State Football team to have to cover every week to force him out sooner

Can't blame him after the god-awful games he had to call this past season.

It was inevitable once his true love, Nick Saban, retired.

A game or two of the '25 team ought to send him over the edge

Another Alabama fan giving up. I'm here for it.

"Gary Danielson is simply one of the greatest college football analysts ever and an even better teammate," said David Berson, president and CEO of CBS Sports. "Gary cares more about uplifting others and ensuring the team ALABAMA receives all the accolades. During his 20 years here, he helped propel CBS Sports to the gold standard in college football coverage. We can't thank him enough; he will always be part of the CBS Sports family and wish him the best in retirement."

I’m an odd man out on this.
I thought Gary was one of the best ever.
My favorites all time are Gottfried and Franklin.
And while the LSU hate is somewhat strong on this board, for Gary, I thought he was fair and he did a great job. It’s hard not to be vocal about great calls.
And let’s be honest, Alabama had more exciting plays than anyone else in the past 20 years and that bothers the other 15 teams.
Gary could see Amari cooper lining up with a single DB 7 yards off and he automatically knew that cooper was collecting six points.
He prognosticated this before the play even started. That’s not his fault. He could see it, our coaches could not. That’s where the anger should have been directed.
He’s one of the best all time.
