Not going to state my opinion for obvious reasons. Need some objective feedback here.

I truly don't understand the crazy hype you guys are giving Nuss. He's a solid college QB but against the 6 Top 25 defenses you played last season (Carolina, Ole Miss, A&M, Bama, Florida, OU)

147/261 (56.3%)
301 YPG
6.9 YPA
12 TD
8 INT

Arch, Klubnik, Dante Moore, Sayin, Sellers, Nuss, Nico

and if not a QB, Jeremiah Smith

Nico will finish higher than both them!

Nico and Arch will be the top 2 QB’s in the country next year.

He's currently getting the best odds to win. But to answer your question, Burrow and Daniels made huge strides from their first to second years at LSU, so many LSU fans assume (or hope) that Nuss will too. I personally do not expect him to make a huge jump. I expect him to have a better season this year, but not Heisman level.

I love Nuss but he doesn't know he have legs and Manning's not better than Nuss or the field.

LSU fans who are expecting a big jump are ignoring big parts of what lead Burrow and Daniels to make huge strides in their last seasons.

I think Nuss is a really solid QB who will be better - definitely one of the Top 5-10 QBs in the country. I'd be happy that he was returning as an LSU fan. There is just a gap between that and "Heisman front runner" IMHO.

But there aren't a lot of super established returning QBs I guess.

Klubnick and Allar have shown signs (Klubnik moreso last year), but they're still questionable

Lagway showed tons of talent, but he's gotta take another step. Sellers somewhat in the same boat.

Leavitt at ASU looked awesome

Beck? Who knows?

Arch hasn't played a big game as a starter yet

Pavia is a fun player but he's not an elite top level QB

Gun to my head I'd probably pick Leavitt.

Jalen Milroe was the Heisman favorite 4 games into the season

Dunno who will win it, but I wouldn't trade LaNorris Sellers for anyone mentioned in this thread.

Not bad for a first year starter. He'll fine tune his reads and explode on the scene. Yall finna fine out

LSU Fans:

"Arch is a 3 star QB, he was like the 4th best QB in Louisiana his senior year."

Also LSU Fans:

CaptainCrown, you were probably joking. You are one of my favorite posters on TD
