8:17am game thread? Well done, Sir!

Guard Chaz like we did Brea the last 30 min of the KY game and we have a shot.

But can’t leave 25-32% 3pt shooters wide open to take shoot-around 3s at home either…not fans of the several times we’ve done that. They will almost always shoot above their averages when you do that. Roll Tide!

Whatever it takes, Get the win today! Kentucky is a similar light beer version of Bama this year. They presented problems for UT and swept them. No reason we can't present the same problems

We have played well on the road. No need to regress now!

The thing you can't underrate is you get full Rick Barnes Prison Ball with "I ain't seen nuthin" officiating in Knoxville. Sometimes Oats teams have not responded well to poorly officiated games against physical teams. They need to be prepared for dangerous hacks when they're off their feet near the rim and the likelihood it won't even be whistled. The other element is the last two seasons, our team defense just doesn't hold up well against teams that can maintain possession and make them defend for the entire shot clock.

If Alabama wins this game then they'll have really shown some growth on both sides of the court.

I expect to get doubled up on freethrow attempts.

IMO, it's all about turnovers and fouls.

I have no idea how, but somehow they commit the least amount of fouls in the conference. Yey they are the most physical team on our schedule. With how we drive at the hoop, it's going to be a long game because they arent going to call our the normal fouls, gonna have to make tough layups through contact.

Tennessee versus Alabama basketball injury report
Tennessee sophomore forward J.P. Estrella is listed as out. Estrella will miss the remainder of the season due to a foot injury.

Three players are also listed as out for Alabama: guard Latrell Wrightsell Jr., forward Derrion Reid and guard Houston Mallette. Guard Mark Sears is probable for the Crimson Tide.

Its why UT flames out in the NCAA every season. Since they foul every play, if they run into a ref crew that will call fouls, their gameplan is toast

I’ll never understand how everyone knows how “physical” it’s going to be against Tennessee, yet refs call no more fouls than any other game. You’re just allowed to hack the shite out of everyone as long as you do it consistently???
