Amite city parade and barbers from all over Louisiana will honor one of the greats from Bama, DeVonta Smith.

NFLSU and WillieT have committed to be co-matrons of honor for the festivities.

Fo real

I don’t think Smitty has lost a game in Louisiana since his senior year of high school. Louisiana sports hall of famer is imminent

Still not as good as Jefferson or Chase. Even Lamb is better than him.

List their Heismans and Super Bowl championships.

List their Amite city parades.

Trophies in the end are trophies. Smith will never make the money Chase, Jefferson and Lamb make.

LMAO @ Amite parades. Have you ever been to Amite ?

How many tickets did you buy?

Don’t lie, you went and bought the family pack, didn’t you. Probably set you back $50.

Easy to say after you get the money. Trophies aren't generational wealth for your grandkids.

Smitty signed a rookie contract worth $20 million, with a signing bonus of $12 million. Last year, he signed a 3-year, $75M contract extension that includes $51M guaranteed.

Is that not "generational wealth for your grandkids"?

Wait, they're charging?

There will be one's of people there. Maybe even a singular 10 persons.

He's good. He's also the second best on his team. Sorry.

He's the guy who got the TV manufacturer that he endorses to give him a TV to give to the barber so he could watch him play, right?

You act like NFL players or pro athletes in general.... NEVER GO BROKE. You have no idea if what "Smitty" is getting paid will turn into generational wealth grandkids. The odds are probably higher that he'll end up having more kids than he can afford.

But again... as much money as Cam Newton probably made, he's even made comments about it being difficult raising his kids because he isn't making the money he used to.

Maybe, not sure about that. I do know that when he signed with Bama in 2017, he and his family were not to ever be welcomed in Louisiana again.

And now he gets a parade there and wadewilson can’t wait to attend.

50 years from now Smith will still make money from winning the Heisman.

Right, but that’s besides the point. Kajunman appeared to be saying that generational wealth is more important than winning championships, so Chase, Jefferson, and Lamb are better off than Smitty.

I was simply pointing out that while Smitty might not make as much money as those three, he has a championship AND (potential) generational wealth.
