To tackle a Rice player about to score a TD?

That was like a hundred years ago

That’s how long they’ve been cheating

I’m sure some of yall can come up with some before that

Because they have always cheated

I couldn’t imagine randomly thinking of an event that took place during a football game at a rival school 100 years ago.

I hardly think about LSU not crossing the 50 at all.

The problem is the guy was still awarded a TD and it had no effect on the outcome of the game.

It's weird that you guys just make shite up to be mad about.

Tommy Lewis.

Since I am a lifelong Alabama fan I've heard about it since I was a kid but didn't know the year so I googled it. It was in 1954, so since you actually remember it you must be 80 yrs of age or so. No wonder you're such a nutcase. You're freakin senile.

I’m not 80 but I remember it. I didn’t see it but have heard about it for most of my life. It was a big story that still gets occasional attention.

Tommy Lewis. He lived across the street from me when I was growing up. Super nice man. I always remember him by the intensity in his eyes. RTR, TL.

I watched that game on TV (Cotton Bowl) at my grandmother's house when it happened. Tommy Lewis was the Tide player, and I think Dickie Meagle(?) of Rice was the ball carrier. After the game the press asked him why he did it and he said, "I guess that I've just got too much Tide in me!"

Looks like I struck a nerve!!!!!

The conversation was about bama cheating in football

I think if Tommy Lewis

(Another dumbass bama)

Would have put his helmet on

The refs would have let him get away with it

He had too much bama in him. Problem today it’s hard to find player like that for any team.

Well no, the guy was tackled, so he got the money.

They just gave the guy the TD for obvious reasons as a result, aka giving the money back.

Angry and dumb is no way to live life guy.

The funny part was when he tried to run and hide on the bench right after. Dude, it's the rose bowl and you're acting like a dog that just shat on the carpet.
