What a character arc! His persistence and loyalty is something that will be seen less and less in this current NIL era.

Salute! He also has some of the coldest post Super Bowl pics/videos that I've seen.

Hardest working guy in sports I’ve seen in a long time. Humble, and hard working. Can’t ask for more.

Loved all of this. That guy got absolutely trashed by so many.

Is he still a RB playing QB?

Is he still a lesser QB that Coker?

Is he still not good enough to play QB in the NFL and a wasted pick?

Hahaha

No, but to say that wasn't a fair assessment when he was plugged into Lane's system as a freshman would be disingenuous. Lane basically used him the way he used Blake Sims. And then his development as a Sophomore was largely inhibited by the removal of training wheels on offense with Daboll and the pressure he was getting on the depth chart.

No, but to say he was in 2016/2017 was within reason.

After the progress he displayed in '18 and '19 I can't imagine there were a ton of these guys. Are you his girlfriend?

Many life lessons can be learned from Jalen Hurts's story. Never made excuses when people criticized him, never pouted on the sideline when things went wrong or he got benched in the National Title game, worked incredibly hard to improve every year, and stayed loyal to Alabama even after Tua got named the starter when he could have easily transferred.

He's the consummate team player and a natural leader and he deserves every ounce of success that he's earned.

Yep. Got as much respect for Hurts as any former Bama player. He and Devonta may be my two favorites and I go back a good ways

It was a stupid assessment from people who know nothing about the sport.

Every single quality that he showed at Alabam are the same ones that helped him lead this team to win the Super Bowl.

He didn't learn those things at Oklahoma. It was all Alabama.

Nope.

Just another of many moronic things said on this forum.

Low hanging fruit insult because you don't have the intelligence to actually debate this.

QB grow and develop. Shocker. Saban supported and backed this guy inspite of idiots who were angry he didn't force him out.

The kid came and won us an SEC championship when Tua got hurt and was exemplary part of the program even with all the shite he took for his father being loud and Tua being the favorite

What loyalty? Bama benched him for a better QB (at least at the time) and he ended up later transferring to OU.

Hurts is a good person, resilient. Handled being demoted with a good attitude. But there ain’t no loyalty in college sports.

He graduated from here. Won an SEC title for us and led the offense on a team that went to two national title games. He ended up marrying a UA graduate who he met while he was the QB here. He's Bama through and through. The only reason he went to OU was because Saban implored him to do it. He needed to be starting somewhere to get to the NFL with one year of elgiibility left. What the hell was he supposed to do? Ride the pine and be an UDFA?

All players are going to do what’s best for themselves. There’s no loyalty.

He graduated from the University of Alabama. Going to graduate school to ride the pine is not a matter of loyalty, that's mental retardation.

All these naysayers spouting nonsense about loyalty; ask Jalen about it. His loyalty to Alabama and his relationship with Coach Saban. Maybe you’ll get a jolt of reality. Maybe.
