I found that odd, given OU's long history

Congrats, Sooners

Troy Aikman was at OU in 1984-1985. Mack Brown was the 1984 Oklahoma OC. His first year at UNC was 1988.

Troy is a lot of things, but a wishbone QB is not one of them. I guess they had to recruit him given he was locally grown talent, but it was obvious from the first snaps he was a bad fit with the OU strategy.

Also, he was not into roids, dealing drugs, rape, and all the other stuff that characterized OU football under Switzer in the 80s.

What part of "OU QB" went over your head?

He is an OU QB, not a UA QB.

Look at the jersey he has on. Listen to the school Roger Goodell names.

Let us know if you need any further assistance in identifying Mr. Hurts' school.

1985, Aikman's sophomore year, was Year 3 of Barry Switzer's attempts to revamp the Sooner offense from the Wishbone to something else.

Aikman was recruited specifically because of his drop back style of play.

He suffered a broken ankle during the 4th game of the season against the Miami Hurricanes.

Enter freshman Jamelle Holieway, who would go on to become one of the best Wishbone QB's to play for OU as Switzer went back to a run-heavy offense.

A Masters degree from Oklahoma allows you to park in handicap spaces.

I'm sure the Sooners are grateful to Bama for treating Hurts like trash. Now they want to claim him. Lol

A couple of stat lines from Oklahoma in 1975 and 1976.

22 of 64 for 510 yds 2 TDs 11 INTs
21 of 58 for 455 yds 2 TDs 8 INTs

Which games you ask? That is for the respective SEASONS.

That he did that in 4 years just goes to highlight the type of person he is.

What part of "former Alabama quarterback" do you not understand ? Because there is no way in hell you can refute it.
