Yes this is conjecture so move on now if you don't like it.
Texas/OU should go back, cherry pick the Big 12 and reform the SWC.

That is a true Southwest Conference.

It was great to see Texas win the Big 12 in 2023 and finally break their tie for Big12 titles with Baylor and K-State

If this happened, the acc trimmed its fat and combined with a reconfigured pac 12 that trimmed its fat. I’d be pretty stoked about a 16 team cfb playoff

With the Arizona schools and BYU/Utah it's actually an intriguing concept. Would be a fun league to watch

BYU, Utah, Colorado, and the Kansas schools are Southwest but Arkansas, New Mexico, and New Mexico State are not. Along with the rest of the teams from Texas.

I know it's not as sexy as the SEC, but the SEC has basically become a stomping ground where saxons bludgeon each other.
Oklahoma has already felt the pain. And Alabama somewhat. And it's not good for CFB when titans start having 6-8 win seasons. Which is going to happen in the current SEC.
