Hope Reid is feeling good. We could use his size vs the uga guards. If this one turns into a foul fest, he may have to guard Newell also.

Reid should probably start over Jarin. I like Jarin's potential, and maybe Oats likes his defensive focus. But Reid gives teams way more problems. Also could be that Oats likes Reids energy off the bench and as a scorer with the backups. His athleticism and scoring around the basket is really really high level. He is a less explosive Zion (but without the fat and lazy bs). Really quick for his size, good hands, good vert, big body, decent shot. But i think just the way he moves on the court stresses the defense. He is a dunk waiting to happen. And he isnt a guy you want to take a charge from (do players even take charges anymore?). I have compared him to Gerald Wallace as a freshman too. He hasnt had a huge impact yet bc our team is so stacked this year, but i think more is coming. His season high was 12 pts against Creighton. I predict we will see him get 20 before the tourney starts.

Having quality depth like Reid, Holloway and Mo make this team elite. No drop off when we sub, then find out who is hot for the bulk of the game. Good times!

Take it for what’s it worth (not much) but this is the best I’ve seen the guys look in warmups in a long time. Everyone is hitting shots and energy is really good. Hope it carries over.
