I'm absolving Down South Jukin from lent this year

You don't have to do it Jukin.
Do the normal Mardi Gras stuff, some of those sugary deserts for sure, and then just keep having a few past the lent deadline. Don't cheat on your wife (DO NOT!), but just have fun and buy a few for some buds you just met and don't adhere to what the Pope thinks (or what he is probably doing

They made the same point on Ancient Aliens by saying the translation was "young Mary" and not "virgin Mary" ... who knows what the truth is.
It's not something I believe in. But, I 100% respect people that do. Whatever makes you a better person, I'm all for it. I do like to have some fun with it though.

This is a subject that I'm fascinated in, and I've actually read through multiple times in several different translations.
I recommend that anyone with a similar interest (apologetics) listen to this recent podcast, as he does a great job of explaining cultural and linguistic differences and how they shape various translation approaches:
