Has any school ever gone winless in conference in MBB and undefeated in conference in WBB?

Or even the opposite?

Not predicting either, but South Carolina has the opportunity to do the funniest thing

So usually you can disregard a coach's Year 1, and obviously Year 2 for Lamont Paris was successful, but this season seems like it will have a very similar result as Year 1.

Is the guy a good coach or not? How much did yall lose from last year's team?

Since no one has ever kept records of WBB, the world may never know

Meechie leaving really hurt, but we are just not a good team. Paris may catch lightning in a bottle every now and then, but I don't view him as a good coach. Injuries to an already bad team have gotten us to where we are. We'd maybe have 1-2 conference wins without that injury excuse

I know USC has a lot of close losses to good/very good teams, but there is also that loss to UNF to begin the season.

That win vs. Clemson looks great tho, or maybe the ACC is just dogshit outside of Duke (real possibility).

No one knows because no one cares about WBB.

He's very articulate and educated but he seems too laid back to be an effective recruiter. He is also very secretive. That part doesn't play well in the big picture. It was long a question as to if he was married even after he was hired. The public knew nothing. You can't build relationships if you are that secretive. End of story.

overall he's solid - he's lacking a true PG - which he did not have in year 1 ...or now in year 3 ...Thomas is more of a score first PG as opposed to creating for others -

last year's team found ways to win with the experience and bigger bodies that could handle/protect/distribute the ball - this year's team does things to lose late when the game is on the line -

CMB gets lost in half court sets with teammates who absolutely cannot protect the ball or find ways to get him the ball - Paris may be best served running a 1 high 4 low offense with CMB as a Point Forward the rest of the season -

I think Carolina is almost at 100 turnovers over our last 5 games this season - Paris accountable only in that the roster he put together is not deep with options to replace those who keep turning the ball over - and over - and over - again -

I would imagine USC is at or near the top of the NCAA in turnovers that lead to uncontested buckets - it's alarming - and it's happened all season -

I would like to say absolutely not, esp since women's SEC basketball didn't start until the 80's.

Closest that I could find for Tennessee in conference play:

1993-94 Vols Basketball - 2-14
1993-94 Lady Vols Basketball - 11-0 (Final 4)

The 2 conference wins for the men were a 7 point home win over Auburn and a 3 point home win over Ole Miss.

Carolina isn’t going winless, they’ve been too close against some really good teams to not find at least one win.

I like to think this guy prevents that from happening.

Wow, how odd. Was he liked asked this question and he just wouldn't answer? Or did it just not ever come up?

I can't see USC going winless in conference. Of course, I also couldn't see SC losing so many close games to ranked opponents.

Interesting thought. At this point, why not make that switch?

Ouch. I noticed the TOs last night and attributed that to UGA's defense but I guess it isn't good D as much as it is sloppy O.
