Heck if we're just AVERAGE at special teams last year we go 7-5.

The real question is will Alex McPherson be back? It felt like him alone would have won us a game or two

That or getting Towns' head back on straight. He's definitely got the talent but got in his own head last year. Tough spot for a kicker to be and get out of.

I'd say there is about a 25% chance. He's gotten close to being ready a few times and always has a set back. Chrons isnt anything to mess with.

This is sad too. He has all the skills to be another Auburn kicking legend.

We had such a good run of never having to rely on a true freshman kicker. After A-Day I was sure we wouldn't miss a beat with him. Then he got the yips.
Unfortunately, the special teams coach has very little to do witht he actual kickers. Hopefully Lunsford can help out return/coverage game out though. Anything to convince Cobb to stop returning the ball. It just isn't worth it with where we end up normally.

The special teams were pretty good outside of place kicking, which is more of a mental thing with the kicker.
I had no problem with punt/kick returns or coverage.

We had pretty much constant penalties on returns, and the punt return situation was terrible.
