Didn’t intend to be away so long - it’s good to be back.
The ladies got off to a rough start last night on the vault but recovered down the stretch and topped a 197 for the season opener. They were also competing without Jamison Sears and Cam Machado (along with promising freshman Love Birt who is out for the season).
Alabama Gymnastics Soars to Win over North Carolina in Season Opener
The Crimson Tide surpassed the 197 threshold in the first meet of the season thanks to a 9.95 in the final routine.

Two fell off the beam and another had a “major correction.” Two stepped out of bounds on floor ex. One fell off the bars. Pretty much a disaster of a meet. Oklahoma is up next….

Just listened to the post meet press conference. Ashley said on of the judges didn't see Gabby do a vault and she had to do it twice.

Something has to change with gymnastics. A judge missing an event is absolutely inexcusable. Reminds me of nationals last year when we had what was it three girls fall off the beam and then after we were done they made some kind of adjustment to it and no other team had issues. Like how does stuff like that happen?
