LSU fans what to make of these players indicating Brian Kelly’s departure is just what the Irish needed? It’s interesting as usually players are lamenting their coaches departure, yet these players were happy to see Kelly go.
I wonder why…
I wonder why…

Their mortality rate decreased.

i would think most teams would react this way to an assistant coach taking over after their head coach left suddenly.

Maybe they wanted a fresh start
ND & the media will play this card over & over BUT it ain’t winning em a NC
Sick of hearing about it - CBK needs to take it personally and wreck shite

he hasn't accomplished anything yet and they already believe he's accomplished more than BK ever did there...

Because for all of their bluster and self-aggrandizement, deep down Irish fans feared that maybe it really was true and it was just impossible to win at the highest levels at Notre Dame in today's world. So they stuck by Kelly believing him to be the best that they could get, even though he drove them crazy and they didn't much like him.
Of course now it turns out that the problem wasn't Notre Dame, it was Kelly himself.

They won a playoff game. Who gives a shite? They can talk if they win a natty. until then, they haven't accomplished anything. They beat a bad offense with a first-time starter at QB. ND has a good team this year and Freeman should give his check to Al Golden. They still lost to Northern Illinois at home.

Except nothing has changed.

What have they won? This weird gas lighting thing people like you, the OP and the media are trying to do about the situation seems really forced.

It's going to be funny to watch all of these people pretend none of this was said when Freeman inevitably loses.

Call me when they win something significant. Until then, just making the playoffs isn’t “performing any better”.
There’s a reason ND tries so hard to remain independent. They know with their admission standards the odds of them getting enough skill position players to actually win a championship is next to zero. But as long as they are dictating their schedule like they do, they can make the playoffs almost every year keeping them “relevant”.
BK may or may not ever win shite at LSU. Time will tell. But to think that ND is “better” in any way now is just shortsighted at best and downright ignorant at worst.

It is really not that difficult to understand, but I will spell it out for the special people from Columbia.
Brian Kelly said he left ND because they are limited and can't win championships.
A different coach walked in and said they can.
Takes a genius to break that down.
