Apparently when portal opened Milroe kept the a lot more people from leaving and prevented us from looking like Fla St.
That’s the reason he never was taken out.
It was his team.
If true I kinda respect DeBoer for it.
Do I want us to kick the hell out of every team . Absolutely but I’m cool with it if we would have been 2-10 without #4.

Weird post. I hope you are trolling and not just speaking what you believe.
“I’d love to beat everyone but I’m ok with a 2 win season” ok Sally

That’s not what he said.

Correct. I hate he didn’t improve. I really hope him the best but I am glad Alabama is moving in a different direction. It’s time to let Kalen DeBoer run his program. We can’t hang on to Saban and his ways while expecting DeBoer to run his program. Alabama wandered for a while trying to hang on to Bears guys and it set the program back. It’s time to move on. The greats are the greats and there’s no replacing them. There’s no one like them or we’d see a lot of CFB teams with decades long dynasties. CKD is the right man for the job. We need to let him do his thing.

Fine but it still doesn’t excuse the bowl game. Start him but once he’s struggling, time to pull him.
Season was over, game is an exhibition, and CKD needs to think of reps for next year.
He gave us a lot of “wow” plays. I’ll always the last min win vs Auburn. Let him tip his cap the fans then take a seat.

Should have been yanked in the 10rc game, if not sooner.

Somebody else hit the nail on the head the day of the game.
You cannot pull an outgoing draftee QB during a meaningless bowl game due to poor play.
The whole “he could have opted out, but decided to finish out the year with the team, but you pull him and make him look even worse” would not be a great look for DeBoer or the program IMO.
Unfortunately it’s just the age of football we are in.
Now replace the Reliaquest Bowl with the first round of a playoff and yes, I would be the one to throw the first brick.

Every game is important. If you listen to players talk about the 2007 Independence Bowl or the 2010 Capital One Bowl of the 2019 Citrus Bowl, they will say it spring boarded what came next. This idea that these games don't matter is from people who never played.

Did you see our players reactions to his play? You definitely can and should have. At that point what could he have done? Unless he has some blackmail information, nothing.

This is probably close to the truth. It is what it is. This is DeBoer's team now and Milroe is gone.
Time to put up or shut up. 2024 was a shite show, but that's somewhat to be expected in a massive transition year like that.
We probably should've won at least 1 more game, but even had we made the playoffs we would've gotten embarrassed so who cares?

Look guys all I’m saying is I refuse to believe DeBoer, a guy with a record of like 115-20 and a guy that’s making $11,000,000 a year is too dumb to realize Milroe sucked arse and somebody else should have been given a shot.
There were other underlying reasons behind his refusal to sit Milroe.

I am going with your thinking as well.
Now it doesn't matter with $4 gone. Kalen has no excuses for 2025.
It's now Kalen's job to win the locker room.

Let's assume OP is correct. So CKD delayed implementing his system to appease Milroe? Everyone knew 2024 was a transition year after Saban retires, so why put your team's future and QB a year behind schedule? I doubt the real truth will ever come out but playing Milroe will never make sense to me.

Me either I called him Mildo after Tennessee
And thought the coach was gutless for not pulling him before I heard this from a source who is “in the know” which could be bs or not like you said we will probably never know but it sure looks a lot better than a coach that’s too afraid or stupid to pull a guy he knew couldn’t get the job done.
The only reason I can see is loyalty and saving DeBoer from potential a miserable season

Milroe is required to pay child support to LSU.
That's what I will choose to remember.
